WebBYU’s first computer science department mini-computer laboratories were made up of DEC PDP-8’s and machines from a spinoff group from DEC called Data General. The Data General lab ran the DG NOVA which was a 16 bit word machine that by 1972 could be acquired for under $10,000. We also had a couple of DEC PDP-11s. WebYou will need a webcam and microphone for this course. Prerequisites. Computer Science, Part 1 (CS 041) or a first-semester programming course that covers Python. Course Outline.
