WebMar 8, 2011 · Get a good locking nut, either nylon or steel with the stamped square in it for the lock, also make sure the diameter is correct and there is no slop, the bushing in the shock could eat thru the bolt if is is moving. Also make sure there are the right size washers to allow it to twist and not bite and loosen.
WebFeb 12, 2013 · Sorry No Pics. If you break the bottom mounting bolts, here's a relatively easy fix. 1. Jack truck up as high as possible and support with Jack stands or just use a lift. 2. Cut off as much of the remaining bolt as possible. The top of the bolt I believe is either welded or attached with loc-tite to the lower control arm, inside the spring.
