The train stops at Haverthwaite then you can either return approx. 10 mins later, or stay at Havertwaite for the hour. There's a shop, cafe and children's play area. Webb11 apr. 2024 · We were on a family holiday of 2 adults, a 7 & 4 year old. We were staying at Lakeside so it was handy to catch the train to Haverthwait on a dull and rainy day. It was a lovely 20 or so minute ride and great for the kids to see the steam train in action. At Haverthwait we enjoyed our lunch in the cafe before a return journey.
